Nigeria Joins 40 Countries for the World Fashion Week

Nigeria has been endorsed as the 41st country to participate in the first annual World Fashion Week organized by the World Fashion Association. The World Fashion Association based in Hollywood is the regulatory body of the World Fashion Industry.

Nigeria’s inclusion in this global event was made possible by Legendary Gold Limited leaders of fashion and modeling promotions in the African continent.

The World Fashion Week offers one of the biggest opportunities for nations to globally promote themselves in the areas of Tourism, Culture and Commerce through their fashion industry.

The gala and welcome of the World Fashion Week comes up in Hollywood in November, 2008 while the major event comes up in April, 2009 in New York City.

Each of the 41 country participating in the World Fashion Week will be expected to present some of their finest designers in HollyWood, 2008 and New York, 2009.

Designers that will represent Nigeria at the World Fashion Week 2009 will be expected to show their New collection at the Nigeria Fashion Week which comes up between 22nd -26th of July in Lagos .The Nigeria Fashion Week 2008 will have in attendance the president of The World Fashion Association, Paco De James.

Nigeria is expected to appoint a board of trustees that will see to Nigeria’s successful participation in both World Fashion Week events. They must be people that have contributed to the success of the Nigerian Fashion Industry.

Also, Nigeria will be expected to launch The World Fashion Week-Nigeria later in the year and it will be conducted by the President of the World Fashion Association, Paco De James.

The president of Legendary Gold Limited, Lexy Mojo-Eyes had earlier been appointed into the international committee of the World Fashion Association.
