Tifanny Amber Collection

There is no doubt that overtime Folake Folarin Coker owner of Tiffany Amber label has become a master of her trade. This was clearly evident last weekend, when the pool side of the Eko Hotel and Suites Lagos was transformed to a fashion scene as she took friends and guests on a glamour ride of her Countdown to a Decade celebration with the launch of the Folake Folarin label.
The fashion show was a celebration of feminism, which showcased four category of outstanding and refreshingly different collections; Tiffany Amber Classic, Passage to India. Scene three tagged Lagos of old and the Folake Folarin collection.

The Tiffany Amber Classics consist of classic pieces that have stood the test of time; blue denim skirt with beaded waist band and whit voile lace, black and whit print dress with red embellishments and more. The scene two titled passage to India was her version Saris, Kaftans, bright coloured silk with embellishment. This collection in the words of Mitchel Dede the compere, was influenced by the opulence of the TAJ-MAHAL of India They were made with reconstructed Indian garments.

Folake Folarin Collection

Third collection tagged Lagos of old, was inspired by glamorous Lagos of the past. The 50s and 60s designs were reconstructed for the modern day woman, the collection included hats, bags and belts.

High point of the celebration was the launch of the Folake Folarin collection which she calls the couture collection. Each Folake Folarin piece according to her unique and inimitable. The collection featured exclusive pieces, made from the best natural fibers, exclusive laces, silks and more.

The atmosphere was absolutely one of glitz, class and panache as celebrities and fashion buffs thronged the venue dressed for the occasion in glittering metallic frocks showing off their greatest assets.
