      Folake Coker Folake Folarin, she says, was born out of the need to satisfy those customers with an eye for exclusivity. “The label is for those customers who just don’t want to wear the same thing with anybody else and they will only be available in our main office. Folake Folarin came about because I noticed that whenever there is a big function and because it’s a ready to wear label, people rush to the shop and pick up the dress. I guarantee, that she will not be the only one that thought it was nice and there will be one or two other people wearing the same dress.” Folake folarin is going to change that, in the sense that most of the clothes will be on offs , “and if there is any particular style that we repeat, it will never be more than two or three pieces, but there will be something distinctively different about each of them. But 50% of those clothes will be one offs , nobody else will have it and I don’t even think anybody will want to duplicate it in anyway because every single one of those clothes a lot of work has gone into them.”  Tifanny Amber Collection Folake Folarin-Coker̓s return to Nigeria in 1997 after years of study in Europe heralded the coming of a new definition of style and elegance that has set the tone and raised the bar of fashion in the country since then.
