For over two hours, the group held the audience spellbound with their music and more than anything their electrifying dance steps which kept the audience on their feet throughout. Their entry to the stage was dramatic and guests could not help but show appreciation with thunderous applause. The group went to their repertoire dishing out more than sixteen of their favorite hit tracks with the audience singing along demonstrating the acceptance and popularity of the group’s music among music lovers in Nigeria.

The leader of the group Will.i.am and the only lady in the group Fergie performed some tracks from their solo efforts. Will.i.am used the opportunity to dispel rumours that the group was about to break up because of the solo efforts of both Fergie and himself. He said more than anything the group is waxing stronger by the day.

The high point of the concert was when the group that won the consumer contest of the more came on Stage to perform the ‘More’ song with the Black Eyed Peas. The more song contest was a platform offered to consumers to remix, complete and perform the song. The winners, Kenzof (two man group were on stage and the performance with the group was so seamless that one would think that the guys have been rehearsing together for a long time. It was obvious from the performance the Black Eyed Peas thoroughly enjoyed jamming with the guys.

Also, October 14 was the birthday of one of the group’s dancers and the audience joined the Black Eyed Peas to sing a thunderous birthday song for the celebrant.

Earlier in the day at the pre concert media interactive session, Pepsi Marketing Manager, Mazen
Almasri said, “The multi-year, multi-brand partnership is designed to inspire consumers around the world to get involved in unique ways with the brands and with the artists. Working with The Black Eyed Peas has been an unbelievably inspirational experience for us. They really bought in to the idea of letting the consumer lead the campaign by encouraging them to contribute creatively from the very start.

They pushed us as far as possible in order to create new and exciting experiences for consumers.
It has been collaboration in the truest sense of the word, collaboration that we are now inviting consumers to join!” Fielding questions from journalist, the group expressed their joy of being in Nigeria for the very first time to perform in the biggest black nation. They thanked Pepsi for the incredible
opportunity since according them “Africa has always been inspirational and central to our brand of music
and incredibly Nigerians are warm, appreciative people and always wearing smiles”.
