As the fashion show and art exhibition for up and coming artists takes centre stage next November 17,
2007 at the Dray Walk Gallery, London, Nigerian born Saze Osayande, will  launch herself on the international fashion scene with the unveiling of her label; 'MR KING APPAREL. Mr King clothing label is
inspired by African art and African interpretations of pop culture. One year on, the brand has established itself on the apparel map and is currently stocked in stores in Manchester and Leeds. The pieces are ethical and the element of sustainability is introduced by using vintage and "recycled" items.

For Saze, the fashion show with  theme;  'Never forget' is a platform to formally 'launch' the label
and introduce it to the already expectant masses.  One of the objectives of the  show is to present Mr King's 2008 collection to clients, retail buyers and industry insiders. “This will facilitate future orders and increase the profile of Mr King in the industry” she says.

The event also  aims to showcase other African artists via a pre- event exhibition. It will inform
discussions on the new wave of art emerging from the continent, show the continent in a positive light and showcase up and coming designers.  It is hoped that the increased Afro cultural awareness will promote a better understanding of Africa and encourage social cohesion in the UK's ethically diverse community.

An Economics graduate of the University of Manchester, Saze says, the brand looks to expand to tailored pieces and fabric design in future.
