Duchess, located in Opebi Ikeja Lagos, is a one-stop shop for ladies with panache, it has in stock corporate suits (skirts, trousers), casuals, occasional wears, lingerie, camisoles, designer umbrellas, and lots more, all from Europe and America.

On the choice of the name Duchess, Mr Adeboye said Ladies are meant to be treated in a royal way “and Duchess is someone you treat politely and with care, consequently any lady that walks in here is treated like a duchess.” he informs.

However, with the ban on importation of fabrics still on, Mr Adeboye is intent on keeping the business going, with a  factory in the pipeline in Ofada, Abeokuta, to start off the Duchess own label.

According to him, German expatriates are on hand to design equipments for cutting of fabrics, hemming, sewing and finishing. “We will be a able to cater for a larger audience and it will be cheaper to develop our own brand.” he said.  He feels there is a need to develop a brand for Duchess as they have done with Wisemen. Apparel.

Deolu, a software engineer from Hartford Scions University in Hatfield in the UK, has worked for Microgene software England, before delving into fashion, first in the UK, with 99 percent of clients being Nigerians. This  development  he said gave birth to Wisemen Apparel in Nigeria, and now Duchess. And as part of his contribution to society, he disclosed that a charity organization, will be run by Duchess, as well as a Foundation to be supported by it.

The outfit, will be formally launched later this month.
