Nigeria’s representative at the seventh edition of the Miss Tourism International beauty pageant, Sakkana Dikko did the country proud, when she shone like a million stars, at the just concluded  pageant.

Although the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria Tourism (Miss MBGN Tourism) did not  win the coveted crown, she made it to the top ten finalists and got the title: Miss All- Nation.

The finals of the Miss Tourism International which held in the modern Garden of Victory, Odessa the Ukranianean capital lived up to its billing as the foremost tourism beauty pageant.

Powered by the country’s Ministry of Tourism and Culture, the pageant had all the trappings and glamour of a world class pageant.

A total of Nineteen countries sent representatives to the pageant. The representatives were drawn from the following countries, Hungary, Hong- Kong, Israel, China, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Macau, Montenegro, Moldova.

Other countries included Nigeria, Norway, France, Russia, Taiwan, Tatarstan, Estonia,  Uzbekistan and Ukraine.

The main objectives of the contest according to the organisers are the strengthening of friendship and cultural ties among nations, development of infrastructures of  tourists business in Ukraine, support of the program of development  of tourism in Odessa as well as drawing tourist from all over the
world to Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Chinese representative Wu Pien Pien was declared  the new Miss Tourism International 2007, while Anna Pobolelova of Ukraine and Nina Kozachek of Russia, bagged, Miss Tourism Ukraine and Miss Commonwealth of Independent States respectively.

For  Sakana Dikko, her victory is just another chance at contributing her little quota to the development of the country's tourism industry.
