ImageLegendary Gold Limited, organisers of the yearly Nigeria fashion show, are putting in motion, preparations for this year’s Nigeria fashion show, beginning with the Nigeria Fashion Week, in August 2007.

Image The Nigeria Fashion Week 2007 will provide the unique platform for both local and international labels, garment and textile manufacturers, producers of footwear, beauty ,hair and fashion related products and accessories; shoes bags etc, to display their outstanding capabilities.

This year’s event promises to be bigger and better, as automobile and telecommunications companies  will be part of the show .

According to Emma Ojo-Odiase, Executive Director of The Nigeria Fashion Week,“because there is a relationship between fashion, cars and telephones, we are also inviting the car and telecommunication companies to come and be part of the Nigeria Fashion Week by displaying their latest brands. Cars and telephones are usually in and out of fashion. So, in order for them to remain in fashion with the trends, they come  up with new models all the time.”

Image The Nigeria Fashion Week has continuously provided the platform for Nigeria designers to rediscover themselves and make success of their creative talents.

The Nigeria Fashion Week has been able to re-orient Nigerian designers to look only inward for inspiration by using locally made fabrics and accessories to
produce clothing items that have global appeal.

Image Those expected to participate include fashion designers, textile manufacturers, producers of Jewelries, Shoes, Bags, Headgears, Make-up artists, Cosmetics, Hair and Skin products, Car dealers, Telephone companies, Buyers, Retailers, Wholesalers etc.

The four consecutive days of fashion shows, trade fair/exhibition, will take place from August, 19th to 22nd  2007, at the  Muson Center, Lagos.

The daily fashion show will present 30 of Nigeria’s brightest designers and 10 international designers. While the daily hair show will feature 10 celebrity hair stylists, displaying their latest creation.

I really appreciate the fact that Nigeria fashion designer are risen up to the task, thank for a show like this. This is a really welcome development as it will always beckon efficiency in the industry.
