Excuse Me Sister, says 2Face.....

I've had the Unstoppable CD by 2face for some time now. I've never really played it. Enter the Place seems to be the only hot song on the Album.... I've been soooo wrong. Check out track 12.

Escuse Me Sister - The making

A video I received on Facebook actually prompted me to listen to 'Excuse me Sister'. In the video, DJ Lanre interviewed Osiki "Ozzie" Ojo, the producer of that track. Ozzie, who is incidentaly the executive producer of the Unstoppable Album, broke down how he made the beat for the song, and how 2face just basically 'freestyled' over it. And check this out... 2Face rocorded the song three years ago.

If you listened to your parents' collection of Apala and Sakara records by the likes of Ayinla Omowura and Huruna Ishola, you'll know where Ozzie got the drum loop he used for the beat of the song.

Quoting Ozzie, "For those of you who beleive that 2face can't write, he's a fantastic song writer. He basically just freestyles on beats...."

I think that's why 2Face is so unique. His freestyling skills give him the abilty do so many great collabos and still come out with great songs and 'Escuse Me Sister', in my opinion, is a great song. I'd expect a video for it.... any time soon.

	Ozzie Da Producer Ozzie the producer has being around for years cooking those beats and mastering his craft but now is the time to come into the open and unleash his distintive brand of Music. Funny enough i was predicting that Excuse me sister from the Unstoppable album would be the monster hit.It's buried somewhere in the album but like a Diamond amongst inferior stones it will make it's self known. On you tube this song has over 11,000 hits just coming under The Rkelly track.Thats a feat for a song that has not even being promoted and everyone has been talking about the Rkelly and enter the place track. This song is a Fusion of Hip hop and Indigenous Nigerian beats which people feel is Apala music. There's a need to support the burgeoning music industry in Nigeria and what is needed are progressive Nigerian Producers who can create music which not only appeals to Africans but to the international market as a whole just like the Jamaicans have done with Reggae or Ragga. Ozzie is hiting the shores of Nigeria this week to collaborate with the best and those talent unknown . Remember the name.Ozzie Triple o production.
