Title favourites Chelsea, Barcelona, Inter Milan and Liverpool will be seeking to seal a place in the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League as matches continue Wednesday night in Europe's elite club competition.
Chelsea take a tricky trip to France to take on Girondins Bordeaux in a tight Group A which has all four teams in with a chance of qualification, making a point at the Chaban Delmas precious for both sides, a win being even more precious.
Chelsea lead with seven points and a win at Bordeaux would all but seal top spot for teh Blues while a Bordeaux win would boost the French side's chances of finishing top of the group.
The other tie in the group sees bottom placed CFR Cluj welcome Italian side AS Roma that is on a resurgence in form having gone four matches undefeated, winning three in the process. Roma have six points in second ahead of Bordeaux on goal difference while Cluj have four points.
In Group B, Italian champions Inter Milan host Greek counterparts Panathinaikos needing a win to seal top spot ahead of second placed Anorthosis Famagusta that hosts Werder Bremen in the other group match in Cyprus.
Over in Group C, Barcelona will look to bounce back from the weekend draw at home to Ikechukwu Uche's Getafe in its tricky trip to the Estadio Jose Alvalade to face second placed Sporting Lisbon.
Getafe halted a nine match winning run of the Catalans with a 1-1 draw at the Nou Camp though Barca is expected to bring back Lionel Messi to the startinf line-up after missing the Getafe draw.
Barcelona lead the group with 10 points while Sporting have nine points, making the match-up in Lisbon a fight for the top of the table and perhaps a favourable draw in the last 16.
Finaly in Group D, Liverpool and Atletico Madrid host Taye Taiwo's Olympique Marseille and PSV Eindhoven respectively as all four clubs look to separate themselves on points and seal spots in the last 16 or UEFA Cup as it seems.
Liverpool is second to Atletico on goal difference on eight points while Marseille and PSV have three points. A win for the away sides would throw the group wide open while a win for the home sides would leave the leaders through to the last 16, same as a draw.
