Action returns to the UEFA Champions League this week with Arsenal and champions Manchester United looking to join Juventus in the last 16 of Europe's elite competition on Tuesday night.
Arsenal enter a crucial stage in their season as the Gunners welcome Yusuf Atanda Ayila's Dynamo Kyiv to the Emirates in Group G with a win ensuring qualification to the last 16 ahead of this weekend's London derby against Chelsea in the Premier League.
Arsenal lead the group with eight points while Dynamo is third with five points and must win in London to keep alive qualification hopes, anything other than a win at Arsenal and the Ukrainians will hope Fenerbahce defeat second placed FC Porto in Istanbul with Porto on six points and Fenerbahce bottom with two points and in with an outside of making the knock-out stage.
In Group E, Manchester United and Villarreal go for broke at the El-Madrigal with both sides tied on eight points atop the group and with knowledge that a win would guarantee top spot.
The Red Devils however will be without Dimitar Berbatov and Gary Neville while Cristiano Ronaldo will feature after limping out of the goalless draw at Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday.
The other group match sees Celtic and Aalborg square off in Denmark with both sides on two points and chasing nothing more than a UEFA Cup place with a third place finish, which would be guaranteed with a win for either side.
In Group F, third placed Fiorentina must defeat visiting group leaders Olympique Lyon to keep its slender chances at a last 16 place alive; the Italian side is five points behind Lyon and second placed Bayern Munich on three points.
Bayern look good to seal a spot in the last 16 with a home tie against Steaua Bucharest of Romania though Steaua can still finish third and make the UEFA Cup with a favourable result at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday night.
Finally in Group H, already qualified Juventus would seal top spot with just two points from its remaining two matches starting with the early kick-off at UEFA Cup champions Zenit St. Petersburg.
FC Zenit however require an outright win to maintain its push for a place in the knock-out phase ahead of second placed Real Madrid which makes the tricky trip to newcomers BATE Borisov, also in with an outside chance at the last 16 with two points, four behind Real and two behind Zenit.
