The Super Falcons of Nigeria kept alive her hopes of a sixth straight African Women's Championship title courtesy of a 1-0 win over South Africa, knocking Ghana out of the Championships in Equatorial Guinea.
Ifeanyi Chiejine again proved the heroine for the Falcons with a 16th minute strike which was enough to set-up a mouth-watering semi-final clash with host nation Equatorial Guinea that finished top of Group A with nine maximum points.
Nigeria finished second in Group B on five points, one behind Bayana Bayana of South Africa while the Black Queens of Ghana finished third on four points after twice coming from behind to beat Tunisia 3-2 in the other Group B encounter.
Nigeria will face the hosts in the first semi-final on November 25 in Malabo while the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroun will square up against South Africa later on the 25th also in Malabo.
