Manchester United and Aston Villa this evening at Villa Park failed to capitalise on draws earlier today by Chelsea and Liverpool after both played out a goalless draw as well. ,
The result however lifts Gabriel Agbonlahor's Villa above Arsenal into fourth place on 24 points while the Red Devils now have 25 points with a game in hand in third place, eight points behind pacesetters Chelsea and Liverpool on 33 points each.
United would be kicking themselves for failing to take advantage of other results earlier and opportunities that came their way though Villa held on to register a first point against Sir Alex Ferguson's men after 11 straight defeats.
It brought an end to a bizzare day in the Premier League that has seen all members of the "Big Four" fail to score on the same day while only Arsenal fairs much worse by conceding three goals.
