Page 1 of 2 Following recent rumours making rounds that popular Nigeria movie star, Nkem Owoh a.k.a Owoh is dead, the president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Ejike Asiegbu has declared such sayings as not only "malicious but criminal and an attempt to bring down a good and honest citizen who has contributed immensely to the growth of Nollywood".
The rumours had it that Osuofia died of complications from rupture of hard drugs he allegedly ingested for trafficking in Saudi Arabia. But according to a statement recently made available to the press, Asiegbu claimed to have known Osuofia for long as a respectable member of AGN and stated clearly that he {Nkem Owoh} is neither dead nor involved in drug trafficking. Asiegbu also urged members of the public to desist from circulating "such wicked and malicious rumours about icons of Nollywood". He further claimed that the members of AGN are responsible and law abiding citizens. Nkem Owoh is widely known for producing the acting in the hit movie, 'Osuofia in London'.
