Ondo State Local Government Service Commission chairman arrested by ICPC |

The Chairman of Ondo State Local Service Commission, Mr. Joseph Olabisi has been arrested and is currently under interrogation by operatives of ICPC for allegedly using his position to institute a fraudulent syndicate in all the Local Government Councils in the State.
Mr. Olabisi who has been occupying the position since 2003 is alleged to be using his own council (Ondo West) as a focal point in the perpetuation of the fraudulent act. He is also accused of planting collaborators and stooges in all the Councils Treasury Department across the state using them to effect the inclusion of ghost workers in the pay roll of the Councils with their salaries and entitlements diverted into private accounts of the Chairman and his collaborators. Similarly, the embattled Chairman is alleged to have amassed property worth over two hundred and three million (N203 m) naira including landed property, vehicles and a school from the proceeds of his fraudulent activities. Presently, Mr. Olabisi is still under the custody of the Commission.
