Olympic silver medal winner Chinedu Ogbuke Obasi has pulled out of Wednesday's friendly international against Colombia in Cali with an injury picked up when his TSG Hoffenheim won 3-2 win over Wolfsburg in the German Bundesliga.
Ogbuke Obasi, the club's second leading scorer so far this season, limped out of the encounter soon after scoring the winner in the 69th minute to join Super Eagles vice-captain and Everton's Joseph Yobo on the sidelines.
Also out of the encounter are Osaze Odemwingie and Chidi Odiah of Moscow clubs Locomotive and CSKA respectively on the sidelines while Yakubu Aiyegbeni has signalled his intent to make the match with his first goal for Everton in 10 matches.
However, Yobo who had pulled out almost a week ago from the encounter with coach Shuaibu Amodu's consent according to him, played full 90 minutes for Everton in the 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough.
Also certain to miss the encounter is John Mikel Obi who has cited club commitments with Premier League leaders Chelsea; on a FIFA approved day for internationals, as reason to miss the match.
