Yakubu Aiyegbeni ended a 10 game goal drought in the Premier League this afternoon to earn a point for Everton at home to Middlesbrough while Hull City held visiting Manchester City to a 2-2 draw.
At Goodison Park, Gary O'Neil had given Middlesbrough, Yakubu's former club, an eighth minute lead but the Nigerian international scored the Toffees equaliser on 65 minutes and leave Everton on 19 points in seventh place.
Over at the KC Stadium, Hull City opened scoring through Gabonese striker Daniel Cousin but a brace from Stephen Ireland put Manchester City in front before Geovanni's free kick around the hour won a point for the Tigers.
The draw leaves Manchester City just one point off the relegation zone with 14 points while Hull City stay in touch with the top four in sixth place on 21 points, two points behind fourth placed Arsenal and fifth placed Aston Villa.
