Milan Closes Gap on Inter Milan |

AC Milan this afternoon in the Serie A closed the gap on leaders and city rivals Inter Milan to one point courtesy of a 1-0 win at home to Chievo Verona while Napoli lost out on the same opportunity with a 3-1 loss at Atalanta.
Milan had a Kaka penalty in the 15th minute to thank for a hard-fought win over Chievo which is at the bottom end of the table, the Rossoneri now have 26 points while Juventus is third with 24 points ahead of fifth placed Lazio's match against AS Roma later tonight.
Napoli, which was level on points with Milan before today's round of matches, fell 3-1 at Atalanta no thanks to two stoppage time goals while Christian Obodo's Udinese also lost out on closing up with the pacesetters with a 1-0 loss at home to Reggina.
The loss leaves Udinese in seventh on 21 points ahead of Fiorentina and Genoa by a point after the Florence club also lost by a lone goal at Cagliari, Genoa had lost 4-1 to Juventus on Thursday.
Other results saw Catania rise to sixth place ahead of Udinese on goal difference after coming out 3-2 winners at home to Torino courtesy of a Mascara hat-trick, Sampdoria won by the same score against Lecce while Siena and Bologna played a 1-1 draw.
