Chelsea this evening returned to the Premier League summit courtesy of a 3-0 win over West Brom, replacing Liverpool on goal difference with both sides eight points clear on 32 points.
West Brom actually looked the more likely to score with two openings early in the first half but a 12 minute blitz towards half time saw Jose Bosingwa send a left foot shot past Scott Carson before Nicholas Anelka helped himself to a brace and become the league's leading scorer with 10 goals so far.
West Brom unfortunately fell to the bottom of the league with 11 points, one behind Tottenham Hotspur in 19th and a further one behind Blackburn Rovers, Newcastle United and Wigan Athletic all on 13 points in a close fight against relegation.
Meanwhile on Sunday, Yakubu Aiyegbeni will be available for Everton when Middlesbrough come visiting the Toffees while Manchester City make a tricky trip to face Hull City at the KC Stadium.
