This Sunday in Equitorial Guinea, the Super Falcons of Nigeria will begin the defence of the African Women's Championship against the Black Queens of Ghana just as the Falconets kick off her campaign at the FIFA U-20 World Women's Championship in Chile.
In Africa, the Super Falcons have won every edition of the AWC since 1998 and will be out for a record sixth title though, as always, Ghana would hope to upset the overwhelming odds.
Nigeria finds herself in the toughest group with Sunday's opponent Ghana joined in Group B by Bayana Bayana of South Africa and Tunisia while Group A has host Equitorial Guinea, Cameroun, Mali and Congo.
Meanwhle in Chile, Nigeria's national U-20 team, the Falconets will try to wipe away the disappointment of the Flamingoes first round exit at the U-17 World Cup when it faces England, New Zealand and hosts Chile in Group A.
The Falconets will begin her campaign and indeed the World Cup against New Zealand on November 19 while Africa's other representatives, DR Congo find themselves in Group C alongside Canada, Japan and favourites Germany, the latter being the Congolese first opponent at the tournament on November 20.
The U-20 World Cup will run from November 19 to December 7.
