Project Fame: Meeting and Greeting at Cool FM and Galleria

Fun and action is the best way to describe the action packed meet and greet that took place at the Silverbird Galleria on Wednesday 12 Nov 2008, when the MTN Project Fame West Africa took over!!!! But I get ahead of myself, before that, there was so much fun just getting to the Galleria.

The day started in its own inimitable style as the students Bisola, Caroline, Dorcas, Inyanya and Kojo left the academy in the MTN Project Fame West Africa Star convoy and made their way to Victoria Island and their appointment with destiny. Or to be more precise their fans at the Silverbird Galleria, some of which have followed the MTN Project Fame West Africa train from the very beginning. Along the way though, a slight detour was made to 96.9 Cool FM, were they met and were interviewed by the delightful E to J, I, K, E Ejike, star presenter and big fan on MTN Project Fame West Africa.

The students on probation Bisola, Caroline, Dorcas, Inyanya and Kojo, all went on air to promote themselves, talk about the show, and in Dorcas, Caroline, Bisola and Kojo’s case what it felt to be on probation again. With all the excitement, the students were still grounded as they said very simply, ‘we would not be able to do this, if not for you the public’.

The day did not end there; the next stop was to the Silverbird Galleria, where the students enjoyed a relaxing and revitalizing meal at Barcelos, then went on to their job, charming their fans with their mixture of comedy, music and begging. The wonderful display got an added bonus when Brenda and Ijeoma ex students of MTN Project Fame West Africa turned up to wish the students the best of luck and see what life is like for the students from the other side of the Academy.

The day ended with competitions, gift giving and autograph signing, but the show is not ended, and as the students said, they cannot do this, without you, so to vote for your favorite student to stay in the Academy you have to SMS their unique number to:
