This weekend in Aba will see the first leg of the mouthwatering semi-final encounter between two-time champions Enyimba and five-time champions Al Ahly of Egypt.
Enyimba reached the last four with a second place finish in Group B with nine points behind Camerounian club Cotonsport which comes up against surprise semi-finalist FC Dynamos of Zimbabwe in Harare on Sunday as well.
Though Enyimba is the highest scoring club in this season's group stage with 10 goals; one more than it's opponents, the 2003 and 2004 champions also have the worst defence from the group stage, conceding 10 goals as well while Ahly have conceded half that amount.
Both Enyimba and Al Ahly have won four of the last five editions of the Champions League with Ahly's fourth and fifth title coming after Enyimba's last win in 2004, only for the Red Devils to lose in the 2007 final to Etoile du Sahel.
In the last meeting of both sides played at the Enyimba Stadium, Al Ahly came out 1-0 winners and went on to win the trophy that year.
