Falcons Drawn in AWC Group of Death

Draws for the group stage of the African Women's Championship has seen Nigeria's female national team been drawn alongside archrivals Ghana, South Africa's Bayana Bayana and North Africans Tunisia in Group B.

Group A on the otherhand sees hosts Equitorial Guinea handed a much easier draw on paper with the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroun, Mali and DR Congo competing against the host country.

The opening match of the AWC, which holds from November 15-29, will see Equitorial Guinea play Cameroun while the Super Falcons and Ghana's Black Queens will open hostilities in Group B.

Nigeria has won all five previous editions of the AWC since inception in 1998 while this edition will be the first not to be hosted by Nigeria or South Africa.
