Following its exit from the African U-17 Championship in the hands of neighbours Benin Republic, the Golden Eaglets have had coach Alphonsus Dike sacked from the team.
Dike, who has also held the helm at Enyimba and Heartland; then Iwuayanwu Nationale, has been replaced by ex-international Henry Nwosu as the Golden Eaglets pick up the pieces ahead of the World U-17 Championship holding in 2009 in Nigeria.
Nwosu would be assisted at the helm by Bayelsa United coach, Monday Odigie and Abimbola Samuel while Suleiman Shaibu will be the goalkeepers' trainer in a complete change of the crew by the Nigeria Football Federation.
The NFF also announced a slight adjusment in the coaching crew of the female national team, the Super Falcons, with Joseph Ladipo keeping his job in the meantime.
Jossy Lad as he is also known will however be assisted by ex-international Eucharia Uche as well as Elder Adams while former goalkeeper Ann Agumanu-Chiejine retained her position as goalkeeper trainer.
