2Face ad Friends The past weekend would sure be a memorable one for Tu Face who celebrated the event of his adding one year in great fashion. The celebrations were a weekend long event that climaxed in the evening at Jazz Sessions Restaurant & Bar, Victoria Island last Saturday.
Right from midnight, Jazz Sessions came alive with Tu Face's fans and well wishers who couldn't afford to miss out on the rare opportunity granted them to party with Tu Baba himself and other celebrities especially on a special occassion as his birthday. DJ Jimmy Jatt {L} with a friend The party kicked off with a red carpet a little before midnight which saw the likes of Tu Face, Naija's foremost female dancer, Kaffy, reigning gulder ultimate man, Mike Nwachukwu, ace music video director, DJ Tee and Hip TV's Dizzy pose for snapshots to the delight of the ever present paparazzis. The main party kicked off without much ado with the attendees taking to the dance floor almost immediately...bobos and chics alike. Mehn, there were a whole lotta them, I mean the chics...uhm, lead us not into temptation, oh lord. The dance floor...no dull moment As usual, the celebrities were camped in the 'VIP' section of the hall whilst the others were left in the regular place digging their stuff and not minding what goes on anywhere else except the DJ's table...any slip from that table and they wouldn't have taken it lightly. Around 1.00am in the morning, in came DJ Humility to take over the wheels of steel and although he spent just about 2o minutes at it...they were real golden minutes. To the VIP Lounge, Tu Face and his pals including some hypertek 'niggas' made themselves real comfortable sitted around a round-table, eating, drinking and exchanging pleasantries. Amongst those present were, DJs Humility and Jimmy Jatt, Dizzy, Kaffy, Mike Nwachukwu plus a host of upcoming artistes. DJ Humility at the wheels of steel Mind you, the party which lasted till the wee hours of the morning did not witness any form of special performance. In fact, the only time words were used in the hall was when DJ Humility mounted the turn-table...I tell you, they were very few words. In all, it was a real interesting event. However, it is real worthy to note that the whole two-day event cost Tu Face not a dime, except, of course, his time. All bills were picked by myfunkybirthday, a TV reality series which currently airs on Naija's foremost satellite TV, HiTV.
