In a swift response to Alapomeji Records' explanation for the non-appearance of 9ice at a show in Dublin, Ireland, Krystal Promotions have made available to MyNaijaNews what they say is "our side of the story".
The statement stated that both parties to the issue (Alapomeji Records and Krystal Promotions) entered into 'a contract of agreement' in July of 2008 that "9ice will be performing on the 19th september 2008 at the Ambassador Thearter Dublin Ireland". "This Contract was based on the Fact that 9ice will be performing in Dublin on the Agreed date, that 9ice must be fully paid before the date and all neccessary Document will be put in place before the show. We Booked flight and accomodation and made all neccessary Promotions which they were Aware of", the statement continued. It stated further that Krystal Promotions was made to believe that all necessary documents (Visas and permit) were in place before they (Krystal) put pen to paper for the contract. The statement claims that Krystal Promotions has reasons to believe that 9ice did not attend the show because he did not have his passport with him. "His passport was at the CANADIAN EMBASSY, as he is performing in Canada on the 4th of October 2008, this was confirmed from a Genuine Source. This is Double Booking an Artist which shouldn't be done in the Entertainment Business". Kyrstal promotions also claimed that "there is more to this story that anyone could ever imagine" and that they won't tell it all in case the case goes to court.
