For a long time to come the Opuwaris would not forget the past weekend. Why? It was the weekend they beat two other finalists to the Maltinal dance all star prize as the best dance family in the whole of Nigeria.

It is made more memorable by the prizes the won, I mean, 2.5 million naira and a brand new family car is not something one can forget in a hurry.

They danced in the finals held last weekend in Lagos at Ocean View with the Francis and Ebhohon families who gave them a tight run for the prize.

The three families performed the Afro-Contemporary dance which is a blend of African and Modern dance steps to win the fame and fortune on offer on the show.

The three families had earlier edged out seven families in the course of the show apart from the thousand of families they had beaten in the preliminaries.

The Francis family took the second spot with a Million naira cash prize whilst the resurgent Ebhohon family came third with N500,000.

This brings to an end this year's edition of the Maltina Dance All family show...it has been three weeks of exciting time on TV...one can only look forward to next year when another edition of the show would take place.

Celine happens to be a friend. it wasn't a suprise when I saw her with her family doing their thing on stage out there. Somehow I knew they're gonna make it. Thanks to everyone who voted for that wonderful family, more thanks to the judges and to Celine, it's a stepping stone. To her family, you're just so encouraging and supportive. Cheers!!!!
