Enyimba Redeems Champions League Aspirations

Enyimba of Aba on Monday went top of its CAF Champions League group after winning the rescheduled match against 10-man Al Hilal of Sudan 4-1 with top scorers Stephen Worgu, John Owoeri and Eze Otorogu among the scorers.

The Aba Elephants now have nine points from five games, two ahead of DR Congo's TP Mazembe and Coton Sport of Cameroun that both have seven points each while Al Hilal is rooted to the bottom with five points.

Enyimba now only need a draw in its final group match this weekend away at Coton Sport who need a win and no more than a draw by TP Mazembe at Al Hilal this Friday to secure a place in the semi-finals.

Over at Group A, Al Ahly have secured top spot and a semi-final place and await the runner-up from Group B while the other last four spot will be contested between Zimbabwe's Dynamos with six points and the duo of Zamalek and ASEC Mimosas with five points.
