The past week was a long one for the contestants in the ongoing second edition of the Maltina Dance all reality TV show as three of the nine contestants that began the week on the show have all been sent home.
The week witnessed the Cuban Salsa dance contest which saw the three least performing families slated for eviction including the Odiah, Bem and Okpanachi families. After the 'lifeline' contest given to three families, the judges decided the Okpanachi family's performance was good enough to keep them in the contest, the other two families were sent home...that was on wednesday.
The next dance that took the stage on Thursday was pantomime. At the beginning of the lessons in the pantomime stuff, the anchor of the show rightly said it was a kind of dance the contestants had not seen or heard before...it was the truth.
The consequence of their having not heard or seen it before was that they all had to put in extra efforts to learn the dance and I tell you...it wasn't a joke. I'd rather die a writer than attempt such dance steps...me for you.
After a whole lot of rehearsals, the families had their chance to present their own versions of the Pantomime dance and in the judges' views, the Eneh, Okemiri and Francis families performed least of all...they were on the eviction list meaning they had to do a final performance to regain their slot in the contest.
Last night was the final for those three families and I bet they put in the best of their efforts...y' know, it's not easy to just sit back and watch 2.5 million naira and an SUV slip off your hands when you can help it.
Well, at the end of proceedings last night, Eneh family had go home since, according to the jugdes, they could not meet up with the perfomance of the other two families.
Ten families started the contest, four have gone home, six are still very much in it, the prizes on offer have not changed...it can only get more interesting.
