Team Nigeria today claimed two more medals; both from the female category of the Powerlifting event, to increase her total haul so far at the Paralympic Games in Beijing China to six medals.

Against China in the Class 4-5 category, Nasiru Sule came from two rubbers down to level the game at 2-2 before succumbing 13-11 in the final rubber and lose the opening game 3-2.
The second match between Oluade Egbinola and Yan Zhang ended in a 3-0 defeat to leave the Chinese one match away from the semi-final. In the doubles however, Sule and Egbinola recovered from relinquishing a two rubber lead to win the third game 3-2.
The fourth game however saw Zhang wrap up the match and a semi-final place for the host nation with a 3-1 win over Nasiru, ending Nigeria's participation in the Class 4-5 event.
