Recently, as a motivator, mentor, activist and reformist , he was honoured by the All African Student Union an umbrella body of all Africa Student bodies such as NANS (National Association of Nigeria Students) in Abuja as the; AFRICA`s Most Outstanding Security Administraor with the grand finale in Pretoria , South Africa by November this year. The Commandant General in his acceptance speech appreciate the student body for their concern and recognition for the Corps. He stressed that to whom much is given much is expected and to the glory of God appointment to which ever position comes from God and ultimate aim is to serve Him and humanity. He reiterates that the activities of Student bodies at every level is to ensure probity and support in large. As crusaders, youths are the pillar of the society and leaders of tomorrow, as such the youths have vital role to play in the development of the society. He assures them of the Corps support in line with Mr President`s Seven Point Agenda by stating that at campuses of the nations tertiary institutions alot of evils have been perpetrated through the upsurge of cult activities. This according to him can only remedy through persistence enligtenment programme which is to be extended to both primary and secondary schools. Engineer Suleiman Akanbi Bello the Deputy Commandant General in charge of Administration who stood in for the Commandant General used the opportunity to highlight on the Corps activities and her achievements so far under the incumbent leadership. However, the country representative of AASU Yinka Gbadebo says, the body having recognise the effort of the Corps, have decided to be involved in bonafide societal partnership with government and her agencies to ensure creation of concrete economic and social policies for better living. The Corps according to AASU has contributed immensely to the establishment of democracy in Nigeria and the reduction of crime wave bringing about peace and security of lives and property in the society. AASU however, use the opportunity to seek for collaboration with the Corps by asking for deployment of the Corps personnel to the campuses of the Higher Institution in the country and beyond in order to help in fighting vices such as cultism and enlightening the students on the dangers of prostitution, alcoholism, drugs among others. In a swift reaction, DCG Bello applaud the Union and assures them that their request will be pass on to the appropriate quarters not withstanding that the Corps have undercovers working with various Institutions.
