Kaita Joins Lukman in Monaco

Silver medal winning midfielder of Dream Team IV at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Sani Kaita has joined AS Monaco from Dutch Eredivise club Sparta Rotterdam for a fee believed to be around £400,000.

The move will see Kaita join fringe Super Eagles midfielder and captain of the U-17 World conquering team of 2007 Haruna Lukman at the club; Lukman has been invited for the upcoming 2010 World and Nations Cup qualifier against South Africa.

Kaita had joined Sparta Rotterdam from Kano Pillars in 2005 after winning silver with the U-20 Flying Eagles led by Samson Siasia in Finland and has since made several appearances for the Super Eagles.
