Ahead of the 2010 World and Nations Cup qualifier against South Africa in Port Elizabeth, the Super Eagles' camp has seen about 15 players arrive South Africa for the match.
Striker's Yakubu Aiyegbeni, Ikechukwu Uche and John Utaka are in camp along with Taye Taiwo, Yusuf Mohammed, Haruna Lukman, Ola Daniel, Obinna Nwaneri, Chris Obodo, Kalu Uche, Chidi Odia, Seyi Olofinjana and goalkeepers Dele Aiyenugba and Greg Etafia.
Also in camp is last season's top scorer in the Belgian top division Joseph Akpalla who comes in to replace the injured Obafemi Martins while Christian Obodo replaces Chelsea's John Obi Mikel.
Yet to hit camp are Atanda Ayila and Bolton Wanderers' Daniel Shittu with the latter stating he would join his mates on Thursday due to the late arrival of the invitation to his new club.
Meanwhile captain of the national team Nwankwo Kanu and his vice Joseph Yobo will not be involved in the qualifier due to injuries. Kanu, who is close to return from an injury picked up at the TINAPA Soccer Invitational in Abuja, has however been denied a request to cheer the team on on Saturday.
The game between Nigeria and South Africa will take place on Saturday in Port Elizabeth from 2p.m Nigerian time.
