As it seems, the season of awards has arrived here in Nigeria...and the teenagers don't want to be left out. Hence, they are set to stage their own awards on SUnday August 31st.
The awards are intended to honour those Nigerians who have, in the teenagers' view, been of exemplary behaviour and have had great influence on them. The awards would cut across all spheres of the society including politics, industry, entertainment and others. Hear this, the programme is organised by teenagers themselves led by one Subaru Olubukola with the support of an organisation called Teens Resource Centre. How would they choose their awardees? By sms, no and not by mail either. All teenagers present at the event would be given nomination forms to fill in the personalities of their choice which would be collated to get the winners...that's very direct voting for you. The award ceremony which would be anchored by the teenagers too would hold at the Victory Hall in Ikeja, Lagos. We'll be there to bring full gist of what went on over there. See ya
