The ongoing MTN Soundcity Campus Blast with 9ice and P-Square hit the city of Jos on Tuesday 19 August 2008, with a bang as thousands of Cool Dudes and babes stormed the venue of the Xtracool event to receive the award winning duo of Peter and Paul, P-Square.

The group, P-Square gave their best performance to the people of Jos saying that it was the city that gave them the platform to rise to limelight. Also at the Jos Campus Blast was rave of the moment, 9ice, who performed with 2Fat to the delight of the youngsters. Sensational hip hop star, DJZ was also at the event.

Unique of the campus blast was the talent hunt segment which served as a platform to showcase upcoming young talents in the area of music and dance. Winners in the talent hunt segment were presented prizes such as DVD Players courtesy, MTN Xtracool. There was also a fashion parade by JD7 Couture, who selected 2 students from the University of Jos to be trained in fashion designing and modelling.

For Larry Bravo, a winner in the talent hunt segment, it was a dream come true to share the same stage with artistes such as P-Square and 9ice. He commended the sponsors of the concert for giving upcoming talents the opportunity to fulfil their dreams and become stars.

The MTN Soundcity Campus Blast is sponsored by MTN Xtracool a package designed by the telecoms company to meet the needs and aspirations of the youths. The tour which berthed at the University of Calabar was designed to deliver unlimited enjoyment of music and exclusive access to top rate Nigerian and international music to young people.

The Campus Blast has gradually become a yearly delight to young people especially those in the Universities and other higher Institutions. No doubt the Jos Campus Blast will remain memorable in the minds of all who attended.
