President of the Nigeria Football Federation Alhaji Sani Lulu who is in China for the male and female football events of the 2008 Olympics has denied knowledge of any contract termination with national team sponsors Globacom.
According to him, Globacom still remains a sponsor of the Nigerian national teams; a statement that was hailed by officials of the telecommunications giants.
It would be recalled that the NFF signed a four year contract with candy makers TomTom to become the official candy of the Super Eagles. The deal, worth N40m a year would see TomTom giving $3,000 to the best Super Eagles player of every match starting with Chidi Odiah in the 2010 World and Nations Cup qualifiers.
