Yesterday's activities on the FASH Football Challenge saw the teams have a name change following the imbalance created by the exit of players so far from the show; two from Outcast and one from Dream Team, bringing in the new teams Zion FC coached by Chris Anighala and Unbeatables led by Friday Elaho.
However, unlike previous editions where one player was evicted from the Challenge, the losing team would lose two players through eviction from the Challenge and this time, it would be the coaches that will choose which players' dreams of football stardom would end.
At the end of the fourth eviction match, it was Anighala's Zion that deservedly triumphed 2-1 in a thrilling match that saw Zion have a goal disallowed just before the winning goal and Unbeatables lose the chance of opening the scoring from the penalty spot in the first half.
During the match though, Chinedu Okezie lost a tooth; complete from the root, and had a second chopped out by half when he collided with Elijah Egberinde during a scramble for the ball and was duly replaced despite wanting to continue with play. His team though won, a consolation for the lost set of teeth.
On the otherhand, the reality of eviction dawned on the Unbeatables and John Fashanu; after much deliberation with Elaho, Anighala and Fanny Amun, brought up various players for eviction.
Fash gave young Dozie a scare nominating him for eviction despite not getting to play in the eviction match so expectedly he was excluded. The duo of goalkeeper Omaka and old man Lucky Amata meanwhile were asked not to create a mafia within their team after it was discovered only four players decide what players get to play. Both however were saved as because of their good play so far, not without a stern warning though from Fashanu.
That left Michael Egberinde and Sylvester Yasin for judgment and Egberinde somehow knew that his time was up in the Challenge, which was confirmed by Fashanu who felt he's been lagging behind and couldn't be carried along by his teammates anymore. Sylvester meanwhile was told his game was also not improving so he had too join the bus home. One person that'll miss Michael certainly is his brother Elijah who was on the opposing Zion FC.
