Abuja Building Collapse: Probe Committee Inaugurated |

Minister of the Federal Capittal Territory Administration (FCTA) Aliyu Modibbo Umar has disclosed that the Federal Government has inaugurated a six-member probe committee to investigate the cause of the biulding that collapsed on Tuesday at Utako District.
Also, the reliability of properties that have been developed under the Accelerated Development Programme will be reviewed in order to check the occurence of building collapses in the nation's capital.
The inaugurated committee will be responsible for the determination of whether there was an act of commission or ommission on the part of the FCTA or the developer and any party found guilty would be punished accordingly.
In her response on behalf of the newly set up committee, Ms. Jummai Kwanashie praised the quick response of the FCTA to the incident and assured of a thorough job by the committee; headed by National Societies of Engineers President Kassim Ali, to prevent such occurence in the future.
