Building Collapse: Bankole says culprits should be brought to book |

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Dimeji Bankole has called called for investigation into the incident of collapsed building in Abuja.
Rt. Hon. Bankole who visited the scene of the incident in Jabi Area, Abuja earlier today, Wednesday, said the increasing spate of collapse building across the country should no longer be treated with kid glove. He called on all relevant agencies of government to take decisive action against violator of building code. The Speaker who was accompanied to the scene by his Deputy, Hon. Usman Nafada said, it has become expedient for Government to take drastic action to serve as deterrent to those that have continued to violate building code thereby putting innocent lives in danger and jeopardy. He commiserated with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mallam Umar Modibo and families of the victims of the collapse building. “We sympathize with families that are affected by this tragic incident we pray to God to grant them the fortitude to bear the losses”. The Speaker said.
