Miracles do happen for those who did not previously believe or had doubts about them, this is because the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) has entered Nigeria's 4x100m Women's team for the forthcoming Beijing Olympics.
This comes after one of the relay teams withdrew from the event, allowing Nigeria to become eligible due to their current world ranking of 17th. Only the top 16 relay teams in the world are entered by the IAAF for the Olympics.
The quartet had failed to make the Olympics due to their failure to compete in the last two qualifying competitions for relay teams after the Athletics Federation of Nigeria could not get the team visas to travel.
The inclusion of the quartet, which contains Nigeria's sprint queen Damola Osayomi along with Gloria Kemasuode and Franca Idoko, improves Nigeria's medal prospects at Beijing along with the Women's 4x400m and Men's 4x100m teams.
