Ekiti Launches First Drug Warehouse |

Director General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) Professor Dora Akunyili has paid tribute to the Ekiti State Government after the establishment of a wholesale drug distribution market in the State.
She described the mega drug depot as a national benchmark for other States in the Federation to follow, adding that depot would greatly reduce the distribution of fake and harmful drugs in Ekiti.
Mrs. Akunyili also commended Governor Segun Oni for allowing non-indigenes resident in the State to benefit from the various health sector programmes which would aid in fortify national unity.
Responding to the NAFDAC Boss, Governor Oni said the Wholesale Drug Distribution Centre was part of his administration's efforts to provide health care delivery comparable to those found in other decent societies in the world.
The Wholesale Drug Distribution Centre is the first of its kind in Nigeria and West Africa and currently is being managed by four pharmacists though the NAFDAC DG has promised to deploy more pharmacists for the certification of drugs supplied to the depot.
