The Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Asaba Delta State has nullified the election of Ward 7 Councillor in Ukwuani Local Government Johnson Azubuike and ordered that new elections hold for the post.
This comes after Felix Aghaiji of the Democratic Peoples Party (DPP) filed an application calling for the Councillorship to be granted him since Azubuike of the PDP failed to show up to respond to an earlier petition.
Meanwhile Chukwuemeka Egede has taken the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission before the Asaba High Court for declaring Kenneth Omoragbon winner of Ward 4 in Ika South Local Government.
Also taken to the High Court along with DSIEC are Omoragbon; who is a staff of the Local Government Service Commission, the Local Government Chairman and the Peoples Democratic Party.
Egede is asking the High Court to declare him winner of the election for the Councillorship of Ward 4 as he was the nominated candidate of the PDP for the election.
