Like in the age-old literature text when "Eze Goes to School" and the more recent event of the going to school of 'BABA'...you know him now, our former president, 9ice and other musical artistes in Nigeria have signified their intention of going to school.

School ke...why? I hear you asking. Well, the truth is that some persons who rightly think that most of our present crop of artistes still don't know the basics of making a career in the entertainment industry are putting together a seminar to teach them the way.

The seminar tagged 'Understanding Showbiz' is expected to educate artistes, emphasize the importance of major elements in the industry and create a forum for the interaction of all players in the industry.

Put together by Rouge Entertainment and Hamzat Subair & Co., the seminar has been scheduled to hold on the 17th of September 2008 and would be facilitated by Ovation Publisher, Dele Momodu, Hip-Hop Entrepreneur, Russell Simmons amongst others.

However, the 'school' is not for artistes alone...agents, publicists, managers, marketers, songwriters and other players in the industry would be part of the seminar and of course Showbiz journalists like me.
