The desire to empower a new generation of creative business class with the necessary tools for living their dreams has prompted premium telecommunications brand, MTN to bring international business icon, Christopher Gardner, to be the guest speaker at the MTN Xtrapro Inspirational Seminar on Friday, August 1, 2008 in Lagos and Saturday, 2nd August in Abuja.

Speaking on the event, Kola Oyeyemi, GM, Consumers marketing, MTN Nigeria, explained that the event provides a platform for the August visitor, who through his achievements, represents the product of what determination and outstanding performance can do to the achievement of life goals, to relate his experience to the target audience. “Chris Gardner exemplifies the MTN "Can-Do" Spirit that young professionals and entrepreneurs need to climb up the success ladder. And this is the drive behind the MTN Xtrapro brand” he said

MTN Xtrapro is the brand that has as its target audience, young, upwardly mobile, middle management professionals and young entrepreneurs. It has products, services, and lifestyle benefits that provide access to uncommon knowledge that drives outstanding performance. The brand seeks and identifies with winning platforms that connects with the progressive aspirations of its target market- young professionals.

In the light of this, the event is therefore positioned to empower this class of people with enough information from Chris Gardner, a self made millionaire, whose story has become something of a myth in business climes; Rising from homeless father to a successful stocks broker and entrepreneur.

Once homeless, Chris Gardner is a role model to many, especially those pursuing a career on Wall Street. He is also a passionate motivational speaker and Philanthropist, who, during the early 1980s, struggled with homelessness and poverty while raising his toddler son, Christopher, Jr. Gardner’. His inspiring story was the motivation behind the award winning book and movie The Pursuit of Happyness, Starring Will Smith, and his son, Jaden Smith.

Young professionals are known to be Dynamic, Goal-oriented; Performance-driven, Ambitious and Seekers of Success. Like Gardner did, they look up to executive icons as mentors and for opportunities to move up the corporate ladder. They are constantly driven by the desires to gain access to information-Global News, Investment information and Inspirational messages from other success stories of mentors to help make critical life decisions.

The aim of MTN Xtra pro, through Gardner’s speaking engagements in Nigeria, is to help the target group achieve their full potential in life and to promote professionalism and self actualization among young professionals. Participants at the motivational seminar will have a lot of lessons to learn from Gardner’s inspirational success story of how he rose from jobless and homeless father, to Wall Street broker.

MTN Xtra pro hosts chris gardner
the article is good. But if some one wants to attend the event, the person will not know if it an invitation thing or without invitation, how can somebody know how to attend?
Besides this point personally the article is okay, straight to the point and in moderate grammer.
