The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has come out to deny claims from Abia State Governor Theodore Orji that it was responsible for the attempt on his life when his convoy was attacked on Tuesday.

The Party also condemned the Governor for trying to link them with the attack on his convoy along the Aba-Port Harcourt Expressway. It also condemned the attempt on the convoy itself.

According to the PDP, it was absurd to link them with the attack after having alerted the Inspector General of Police recently to take steps in checking the growing nuisance of kidnapping and assassinations among other ills in the State.
