The end of a protracted legal tussle stretching all of 15 months between incumbent Ondo State Governor Olusegun Agagu and Labour Party Gubernatorial condidate Olusegun Mimiko looks to be in the offing.
This is so with the impending judgement on the April 14, 2007 election coming on Friday following the submission of addresses by the legal counsels of both politicians.
Judgement on the case had been adjourned for the past two months by the Chairman of the Election Petition Tribunal Justice Garba Nabaruma but a statement of Judgement from the Tribunal confirmed Friday as judgement day.
Mimiko had taken Governor Agagu before the Tribunal after the latter was declared winner of the election by the Independent Naitonal Electoral Commission (INEC).
Security has also been tightened around the State ahead of the judgement of the Tribunal as well as the court premise as only 10 party supporters of each party will be allowed in among other security measures.
