2008 DAME Awards Gains Momentum |

The call has been made for entries into the 17th edition of the Diamond Awards for Media Excellence (DAME). Entries will be open from July 21 till August 23 with awards in 33 categories ranging from the Print, Broadcast and Advertising media.
In the Journalism category, there are two new categories for Agriculture Reporting and Insurance Reporting, along with the established Press Reporter of the Year, Editorial Writing, Action Photography, Best Designed Newspaper and other awards.
There will be seven categories in the broadcast section including three for radio; Drama, Presenting and Reporting Awards, and four for television; Documentary, Drama, Reporting and TV Programmer of the Year Awards. The Advertising category would see awards for Press Adverts as well as radio and television commercials of the year.
Entries can be submitted at the DAME secretariat at 9 James Robertson Street in Surulere, Lagos on or before the closing date.
