The Nsukka Solidarity Network has called on Enugu State Governor Sullivan Chime to initiate an executive bill before the State and National Assembly that will authenticate the proposed creation of Adada State out of the present Enugu State.

According to the group, since there is a private-member bill on the matter before the State Assembly, it would be ideal the State pass a law expressing willingness to split Enugu and proceed with any course of action that would lead to the creation of the proposed State.

The NSN also called for the decentralisation of the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) into three campuses as according to it, it would fulfill the original objective of the university's founding fathers.

ESUT was borne out of the old Anambra State University of Science and Technology (ASUTECH) along with the Ebonyi State Univeristy in Abakaliki and the Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka.
