Spanish club Barcelona are in a tug of war with the Brazil and Argentina Football Federations over the availability of want-away player Ronaldinho and Lionel Messi at the Olympics for their respective countries.
Ronaldinho was named by coach Dunga in an 18-man Brazil squad which also includes Manchester United midfielder Anderson, new Manchester City signing Jo, Werder Bremen maestro Diego, Real Madrid's Robinho and kid sensation Alexander Pato of AC Milan.
This comes despite Ronaldinho clearly not being a part of new Barca coach Pep Guardiola's plans for the upcoming season with AC Milan and Manchester City in the running for his signature.
Ronaldinho however recently turned down an offer of £200,000 a week from Manchester City who have been on the Brazil stars trail all summer.
Lionel Messi meanwhile has been named in the defending Olympic champions' squad to Beijing alongside Liverpool's Javier Mascherano, Sergio Aguero of Atletico Madrid and Juan Roman Riquelme as an overage player.
