Dream Team IV player Efe Ambrose, who earlier in the week was declared unfit for the Olympics due to a heart condition, has been given the green light to take part in the football event of the Games.
This turn-around comes after the player underwent a check-up with medical experts who diagnosed that he can embark on a trip to China with the national U-23 team of Nigeria rather than miss out altogether as earlier thought.
According to the doctors, Ambrose may however not be able to play the full 90 minutes just as a precaution though he is capable of playing a full match at the Olympics.
Meanwhile, Samson Siasia will name his final squad for the football event of the Olympics on July 19 with Ambrose expected to be named along with Isaac Promise, Victor Anichebe, Ambrose Vanzekin and Taye Taiwo, who was fined for missing a few pre-season trainings at Olympique Marseille.
Siasia will also confirm who he will be including in the squad as the three overage players with strikers Ikechukwu Uche and Osaze Odemwingie expected to be named as well as Super Eagles goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama.
